Bio
Thank you for visiting our site to learn more about how we are here to support you and your child. I started as a School Counselor in FCPS in 2007 and joined Bailey’s in 2019. I always wanted to have a job in a helping profession. After a year of working at an underserved school in Chicago as an AmeriCorps member, I applied to George Mason University’s Master of Education program to gain a degree in Human Growth and Development with a concentration in School Counseling.
My belief when it comes to working with children and youth is that I can be one more positive role model to help students gain or strengthen skills or strategies so that they may live their lives to their fullest potential. I believe learning should be fun and interactive. I love incorporating self-expression through art and the use of storytelling into monthly classroom counseling lessons. Through group counseling, witnessing students problem solve and sharing their wisdom with one another is affirming that all individuals have the capacity within themselves to solve problems.
