CETA Arts in Action Parent Day

Yesterday, Bailey's ES invited families to visit their child's classroom to see Arts in Action.

Dr. Easa welcomed families by inviting them to "mirror" her actions using an arts integration strategy. Families were given an overview of the Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA) program at Bailey's Elementary School and the commitments made by our school and staff through our partnership with The Kennedy Center.

Students from Sra. Obando's 2nd grade class performed an original movement sequence led by Lorena Cervantes, Creative Movement Teacher.

After the performance, families walked to their child's classroom to see Arts in Action!

Following demonstrations in classrooms, parents were asked for their feedback:

  • How do you think this strategy helps your child's learning?
  • What did you learn about arts integration today?
  • What questions do you still have about arts integration?
