Computer Science Education Week 2024
Computer Science Education Week is an annual initiative aimed at motivating K-12 students to engage with computer science. In commemoration of CSTA's 20th anniversary, this year's theme, "Looking Back, Leaping Forward," encourages us to acknowledge past milestones and propel the field into a future of limitless possibilities.
FCPS Computer Science Practices:
Computer science practices include both computational think and creating with code. Students apply computational thinking to creatively express ideas and solve problems with or without technology. Students use an iterative design process to create, test, and refine solutions and artifacts. Algorithms, programs, apps, simulations, models, maps, and data visualizations are examples of artifacts created with computer science.
