Congratulations to our school website and school web curator Ms. Sara Quesenbery. The Baileys ES website was one of ten recognized schools at this year's FCPS Web Curator's Conference with its "Best Use of Photography" award, which spotlighted student successes and other happenings within the school.

Below is a partial write-up of Ms. Quesenbery's nomination.

School curator Sara Quesenbery makes her features stand out through the inclusion of vast photo galleries, complete with captions. Recently, staff volunteered one of their nights at the school’s Partners in Print event. Families came to the school to make puppets while teachers lead sessions, read stories, and illustrate arts integration strategies. The feature was brightened and invigorated with the 23 photos that were incorporated with it. This particular feature is the model she follows in many of the other features she creates, bringing to life a partnership the school has with The Kennedy Center, headlining the tradition of the annual last day of kindergarten parade, introducing the community to the school’s first grade zoo, and recognizing staff with the teacher appreciation week events. Check out the beautiful photos on these blogs and others by visiting the Bailey’s Elementary School features section.
