In this unit, Kindergarten engineers explore communities, how they have changed over time, and the building techniques used in community buildings. With this knowledge, engineers used design techniques to plan and build something new for our community.
Unit 2: Catching the Wind

In this unit, Kindergarten mechanical engineers explore how shape, size and stiffness best catch the wind when making sails and windmill blades. Engineers used the engineering design process as they imagined, planned, created and improved sail and windmill designs.
