Ms. Boerner Recognized as FCPS 2020 Region 2 Outstanding Elementary New Teacher
Congratulations to Kindergarten teacher Caitlin Boerner who was recognized as the FCPS 2020 Region 2 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher and one of five finalists for the 2020 Outstanding Elementary School New Teacher Award!
Caitlin makes it her mission to connect with her community, create meaningful relationships with her students, and produce an all-around positive atmosphere in her classroom. Colleagues note, “As a teacher, Caitlin effortlessly communicates the two most important traits of a teacher: a love for her students and a love for learning.” She is known for using her creativity to go above and beyond when planning lessons for her students and has been seen cracking codes during STEM challenges, creating interactive displays, and dancing alongside her students. Parents feel connected to her classroom and appreciate the high expectations Caitlin sets for her students. It is clear to anyone walking into her classroom that students feel “successful, loved, and inspired."
